PayPlug payment gateway module for free

Payplug Payment Gateway Magento

We are pleased to announce the completion of our new Free PayPlug payment gateway module for Magento (http://www.magentocommerce.com/magento-connect/catalog/product/view/id/25089/s/payplug-payment-gateway-by-j2t/).

We’ve been quite enthusiastic about PayPlug, because we believe that it offers a real alternative to PayPal. It is simple to integrate, user friendly and most importantly, it has lower fees. PayPlug charges 2.5% and PayPal charges 3.4% + €0.24 for revenue lower than €2500. For higher revenue ranges, PayPlug is having higher fees compared to PayPal but if your client’s cart average is quite low, it would still be more interesting, because PayPlug doesn’t apply extra fixed fees (https://www.payplug.fr/en/pricing):

Monthly volumePayPlug Fees
Up to €2 500 >> 2.5%
€2 500 to €10 000 >> 2.2%
€10 000 to €50 000 >> 2.0%
€50 000 to €100 000 >> 1.8%
Above €100 000 >>you need to contact PayPlug

We believe that this is one of the best solution available at the moment and will certainly allow merchants to add to their stores reliable payment gateway compatible with Visa and Mastercard.

Tips of the day while using J2T Reward Social Add-on;)

If you wonder how to modify Facebook image and text while your customer click on like button with the module J2T Reward Social, you may want to modify the file path-to-your-theme/template/page/html/head.phtml in order to add the following:

<meta property=”og:url” content=”<?php echo htmlspecialchars(Mage::helper(‘core/url’)->getCurrentUrl())?>” />
<meta property=”og:title” content=”<?php echo htmlspecialchars($this->getTitle());?>” />
<meta property=”og:description” content=”<?php echo htmlspecialchars($this->getDescription()) ?>” />

<?php if (Mage::registry(‘current_product’)) : ?>
<meta property=”og:image” content=”<?php echo Mage::helper(‘catalog/image’)->init(Mage::registry(‘current_product’), ‘small_image’)->resize(100,100);?>” />
<?php else:?>
<meta property=”og:image” content=”DEFAULT_URL_IMAGE_OF_YOUR_CHOICE” />
<?php endif;?>

No wonder on which page your customers are, they will always have correct title, text and image while clicking on like button!

Carbon copy of our Points and Rewards module sold by another company

With this blog post, we wanted to inform our customer that a company has decided to sell our module under their brand without our authorization. This company is called Indies Services.

They have been informed many times about the fact that we don’t want the module sold under their name, but as they decided to continue to advertise and sell the module, they didn’t leave us any other choice than posting this message on our blog.

Be aware that the version they are selling (called Magento Reward Points) contains many bugs and most importantly, is more expensive. Why choose a copy when you can get the original for cheaper! 😉
